MANDREM: Telugu Superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna Rao has been served a stop-work notice by Mandrem Village Panchayat for doing alleged illegal construction and excavation.
As per the notice, Nagarjuna, without obtaining prior permission from the competent authorities, and Panchayat carried out illegal construction and excavation in property bearing survey no. 211/2 B at Ashvewada, Mandrem Village.
As per information, the Panchayat said that before the commencement of any construction/erection/excavation work the, prior permission is required to be obtained from the Panchayat under section 66 (1) of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act 1994.
“Nagarjuna failed to take permission from this office and other competent authorities for aforesaid work,; the Panchayat said
In view of above, you are directed to stop the work of construction/erection/business/excavation immediately on receipt of this notice, failing which further necessary action will be taken against you as per the Goa Panchayat Raj Act 1994.
