It is disheartening to note that the police, revenue officials, and noise pollution committees are allegedly in collusion with powerful club and shack owners, perpetuating the problem further.
As the upcoming long weekend, encompassing Independence Day and Rakshabandhan, approaches, it is imperative that the authorities take immediate and stringent action against clubs, pubs, and shacks violating noise pollution regulations by playing excessively loud music. While the locals are demanding year-round action, during the upcoming long weekend starting from August 14th, the police must maintain strict vigilance. Additionally, residents implore the deployment of police personnel at critical points and habitual offender clubs to ensure swift enforcement action against them.
The persistence of this noise pollution matter has significantly impacted the quality of life for affected residents, especially the elderly and students. The urgent need for prompt and decisive action to alleviate this issue cannot be overstated.
