MARGAO: Tribal Minister Govind Gaude on Friday directed the officials to resolve the network connectivity issue in the villages of Sanguem taluka.
Gaude, along with officials and network providers of different companies, had a meeting at the South Goa collector office to discuss the network issue faced by rural villages of Sanguem.
Gaude also discussed the different issues faced by the villagers of Karla of Sanguem taluka.
The meeting was attended by Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar, South Goa collector Kuchika Katiyal, forest officials, officials of the Tribal department, EES, AEs of PWD and power departments were present.
Gaude said that his focus would be on solving the problem of the villagers of Karla, Kajur.
He said that there are nearly 18 homes in Karla, which belongs to the ST community and five houses belong to the Dhangar community and 15 places are in Kajoor village.
“I have asked the network provider companies to resolve the network issue, so the students from this area don’t have to face the hardship. I have also directed the engineers to submit the estimate within 20 days to the EEs, and all these works will be taken up under Tribal sub-plans. I have also directed the District administration to expedite the process,” he said.
He further said that another meeting would be held soon regarding Forest Act.
“The entire Cavrem village had a total of 24 cases; out of that, 10 cases are approved by the district-level committee and in the final process of issuing the sanad. Eight of internal conflict which has been resolved today, 4 cases are of boundary demarcation between privet forest and forest department which will be solved soon,” he said.
