COLVA: Colva Police have registered a case against two persons for allegedly organising a bull fight at Seraulim and subjecting the animals to cruelty for public entertainment.
According to the police, the case was registered based on a state complaint filed by PSI Manju Vantamuri of Colva Police Station. The incident allegedly occurred on June 7 at around 3 p.m.
The accused have been identified as Bernard Gomes, a resident of Seraulim, and Riyaz Khan, a resident of Pedda, Benaulim. Police alleged that the two, acting as organisers, conducted a bull fight between two bulls in an open place visible to the public and incited the animals to fight each other for the entertainment of spectators.
The act allegedly amounted to subjecting the animals to cruelty, following which a case was registered by Colva Police.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Manju Vantamuri of Colva Police Station.
