Morning: Two Senegalese nationals have been arrested after police allegedly recovered 222.92 grams of suspected cocaine from their premises at Bandekarwada, Morjim.
The accused have been identified as Bouba Samba, 31, and Aliou Moustapha, 31. Both were reportedly residing at Greenview Guest House, Bandekarwada, Morjim, Pernem.
According to police, a whitish powder-like substance suspected to be cocaine was found in their possession. The seized substance weighed 222.92 grams and was valued at approximately ₹22,29,200.
During the operation, police also seized ₹10,85,300 in cash and other articles. The total value of the seized items was estimated at ₹33,14,500.
Both accused were placed under arrest on August 23, 2026, at around 2.50 am after following the prescribed arrest procedures.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
