VASCO: Mishap between a bus and a bike led to the death of two youths and bodily injury to one pedestrian woman at Sancoale on Sunday.
One youth from Headland Sada and another of Bogda lost their lives in a fatal vehicular accident at Sancoale near BITS Pilani between a bus and a bike on Sunday evening.
One women pedestrian has also sustained an injury in this accident.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Vasco Salim Shaikh informed that deceased youths were identified as Akhilesh Gawas (18) from Bogda and Gautam Keluskar (19) from Headland Sada.
He further informed that the two youth were moving from MES college towards Verna on a KTM Bike (GA03AC6622), and a bus (GA08V 1383) was also moving in the same direction bus took a U-Turn near the BITS Pilani college, the bike collided with the bus directly.
While one person died on the spot, the other died on his way to Sub-District hospital Chicalim. A women pedestrian also sustained injury after the bike went and hit her after the accident, and her leg was reportedly fractured.
The injured lady has been shifted to GMC for treatment. Verna police is further investigating the case,” Shaikh added.
