CURCHOREM: Guardian Angel Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, (IHMCT) Curchorem celebrated their annual Christmas dinner having “União De Natal” as this year’s theme on December 22.
Final Year students of three years diploma course were given an opportunity to plan, organize and manage the event as part of their curriculum with help from their faculty members and first year students. Muktar Shaikh was nominated as General Manager and Prajal Borkar as Deputy General Manager.
The other team members were Navdesh Gaonkar (Food production Dept.), Braydon Fernandes (F&B Dept.), Owen Gomes (Front Office Dept.), Tescio Vaz (Housekeeping Dept.), Deepesh Mayakar (Engineering Dept.) and Uyen Dias (Entertainment Dept.) The final year students were appointed as the Managers for in respective Departments.
Fr. Mateus Fernandes, Provincial Superior of Goa Province, Society of Pilar and Chairman of Xavierian Education Society was the chief guest. The Parents of final year, campus neighbors, Ex- Students, Teachers of Guardian Angel Educational complex, Ward Councillor, priests and sisters of Pilar society and other congregations were present on the occasion.
The bar counter headed by Joston Almeida and his team prepared and served different types of refreshing mocktails and cocktails followed by the service of delicious snacks Later a combination of Portuguese and Goan food along with live pasta counter and carving of Roast BBQ chicken prepared by the students was served for the dinner.
The students showcased their talent in singing, dancing and by playing live musical band. Students from Guardian Angel High School presented a beautifully choreographed Mando which added more glamour to the event. Many spot prizes were awarded to diners which also added more fun to the event.
Live band of the students of first year played very mesmerising music to the guests delight which lead many students and diners to come on the dance floor and dance.
