SINQEURIM: An unidentified male body, believed to be of a man aged between 40 and 54 years, was found floating near the seashore at Sinquerim Jetty in Sinquerim, Bardez, on August 29, 2026.
According to police, information regarding the body was received from the Police Control Room (PCR), Panaji, at around 4.57 pm.
The body was subsequently removed from the water with the assistance of Fire Brigade personnel. Police conducted the necessary formalities before shifting the deceased to the Goa Medical College (GMC) Morgue at Bambolim for preservation.
Arrangements have been made to conduct the post-mortem examination and complete other required formalities.
The identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be ascertained.
