COLVA: In what can be termed as extreme cruelty to animal, unknown person reportedly poured boiling water on a stray dog at Colva.
The canine has been very severely injured in the incident.
A concerned citizen has filed a police complaint against unknown for subjecting the animal to cruelty.
Colva Police has sent the injured dog for medical examination.
Colva police station in-charge, PI Theron D’Costa informed that the police had sent the stray for medical examination.
He said since the medical report showed that the dog is critical, the police has registered a case under section 428 of the IPC and under section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
