Unknown Man Found Dead Near Old Market In Fatorda

MARGAO: An unknown man, aged around 30 to 35 years, was found lying near Arsekar Shop opposite Joseph Bar at Old Market, Fatorda, on August 17.

According to police, information regarding the incident was received at around 2.30 pm from Robot staff. Police subsequently visited the spot and, with the assistance of 108 Emergency Services, shifted the man to South Goa District Hospital, Margao.

However, the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.

The deceased’s body has been preserved at South Goa District Hospital for further medico-legal formalities.

Fatorda Police have registered an Unnatural Death case, U.D. No. 31/2026, under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.

Further inquiry is being conducted by LPSI Sukhada Prabhudessai of Fatorda Police Station.
