MARGAO: The Department of Urban Development has directed Margao Municipality’s Chief Officer, Melvyn Vaz, to remove unauthorized stalls and shops obstructing the Electricity Department premises at Aquem, Margao.
The order follows a complaint lodged by Executive Engineer Kashinath Shetye, who reported that these illegal structures were blocking access to a crucial pathway.
Issued by Deputy Director of Urban Development Nadia Shekel, the notice mandates the municipality to clear the stalls within three days of receiving the communication.
Kashinath Shetye, formerly the Nodal Officer for the Land Acquisition Cell of the Electricity Department, has recently been transferred.
