PANAJI: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has granted bail to Sachin Kurup, the car driver who rammed into the reception counter of a hotel at Vagator killing the 57-year-old hotel owner lady on the spot.
He has been released on conditional bail with PR bond of Rs 50,000 and one solvent surety in the like amount.
He was charged of culpable homicide. 42-year-old Pune native Kurup and a resident of Assagao had rammed the Haryana-registered SUV he was driving into the reception area of the hotel, killing hotel owner Remedia Albuquerque, who was on the phone at the reception area.
The pathology report of Kurup, had revealed the absence of narcotic substances or alcohol in his blood samples as per police.
