VASCO: Vasco Police have initiated an inquiry into the death of a 38-year-old man who was found unconscious at his residence in Kharewado and was later declared dead at a local hospital.
According to police, information was received from Daffodils Hospital, Vasco, that a man had been brought dead to the casualty ward after being found unresponsive at his home.
During inquiries, family members identified the deceased as Santosh Pujari, 38, a resident of Kharewado, Vasco. They informed police that he was found unconscious at his residence and was not responding, following which he was rushed to Daffodils Hospital. However, the attending doctor declared him dead on arrival.
Police conducted an inquest panchanama over the body, which has since been preserved at the South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for medico-legal formalities and further examination.
Further inquiry into the case is being carried out by PSI Plato Carvalho of Vasco Police Station.
