VASCO: Vasco police succeeded in cracking the minor boy kidnapping case within 24 hours. The team of Vasco police apprehended two people, one male and one female, in this kidnapping matter from Mahim-Mumbai, Maharashtra.
A press release issued by the Superintendent of Police South Goa stated that with the arrest of accused Deepak Yadav Langda and Kani, the kidnapping case of an 11-month-old child was detected within 24 hours by Vasco Police.
On Thursday, a lady residing on the footpath at Vasco, a native of Karnataka, lodged her complaint at Vasco Police Station to the effect that on May 11
between 5 to 6.30 pm near Sai Baba Temple, Vasco, accused persons, namely Deepak Yadav alias Langda and Kani, both residing on the footpath at Vasco, reportedly kidnapped her minor son, age 11 months, from her legal guardianship.
In this connection, an offence Under section 363 r/w 34 IPC and Sec 8 of GCA 2003 was registered at Vasco Police Station. After a thorough investigation and lead received in this case, swift action was initiated by Police Inspector Anand Shirodkar of Vasco Police Station under the supervision of SDPO Vasco, Gurudas Kadam and a team consisting of Head constable Ashish.
Naik, Head constable Sachin Bandekar, Lady Police constable Raveena Shahpurkar and Police Costable Driver Sanil Bavalekar were deputed to proceed to Mumbai- Mahim, Maharashtra, wherein the victim child was traced, and both the accused persons were apprehended with the assistance of Pydhonie Police Station Maharashtra.
Further, the team and the victim’s child, and both the accused persons are on the way to Goa. Further investigation of the case is in progress with Police sub-inspector Yeshwant Mandrekar under the supervision of Anand Shirodkar, PI Vasco Police Station and Gurudas Kadam, SDPO Vasco.
