“We carried out a special drive against drunken driving. While we usually check two-wheeler and four-wheeler drivers, we decided to check the drivers of private buses and Kadamba buses today for alcohol content. We have even warned the drivers that we will regularly check for drunken driving and most stringent action will be initiated if anyone is found driving under the influence of alcohol. We will continue this drive and start random checking against everyone from tomorrow as a measure to avoid cases of drunken driving in Vasco,” said Narvekar.
