VAGATOR: A group of tourists became victims of theft early Thursday morning when their parked vehicle was broken into at Vagator Beach by an unidentified individual.
Preliminary information suggests that the perpetrator smashed the vehicle’s rear window and stole a mobile phone, some clothing, and about ₹1,000 in cash. The incident occurred during the early hours, with no eyewitnesses reported at the scene.
Police have filed a case and are actively investigating. Nearby CCTV footage is being reviewed in an effort to identify the suspect.
The incident has raised fresh concerns about the security of tourists in Goa’s beach areas. Authorities are advising visitors to avoid leaving valuables inside vehicles and to park only in well-monitored, secure locations.
