CANACONA: Residents of Colamb, Canacona, are grappling with severe water and electricity supply disruptions, urging local authorities and their MLA to take immediate action.
According to locals, water supply has been erratic for the past four days, despite the ongoing monsoon season. “The authorities have failed to pump water from the main tank in a timely manner,” said resident Abhay Dhuri, highlighting the inconvenience faced by households.
Electricity supply has also been unstable over the past five days, with frequent power trips affecting daily routines. “We have lodged complaints with the concerned department, but no concrete action has been taken,” added Dhuri.
Residents further expressed concerns that the disruptions could negatively impact the nascent tourism business in the area, which is preparing for the upcoming season. They appealed to the local MLA and concerned minister to intervene promptly to restore essential services and implement measures to prevent such recurring issues in the future.
