Panaji: The World Trade Center (WTC) Goa has announced the launch of a new Export Facilitation Centre to help local exporters and small businesses access global markets, marking a significant step towards strengthening Goa’s international trade ecosystem.
The announcement was made during an international seminar titled ‘Dubai: The Business Gateway to Global Trade’ held at Caculo Mall in Panaji. The event brought together entrepreneurs, exporters, industry experts and business leaders to discuss opportunities for expanding Goan businesses into overseas markets through Dubai.
The newly established Export Facilitation Centre will assist exporters with documentation, regulatory guidance and coordination with key trade bodies that do not have offices in Goa. This support is expected to simplify procedures for businesses and make it easier for them to navigate export related requirements while expanding internationally.
WTC Goa also highlighted that local enterprises will gain access to a global network of more than 300 World Trade Centers spread across nearly 100 countries. The initiative is designed to provide Goan businesses with international connections, market intelligence and opportunities to showcase their products on a larger stage.
Another major announcement at the seminar was the launch of the Mission 100/100 initiative. Under this programme, 100 Goan MSMEs will work towards achieving a combined turnover of Rs 100 crore by 2035. The initiative aims to encourage collaboration among businesses while providing mentorship and market access to accelerate their growth.
The seminar also explored Dubai’s advantages as a global business destination, including its investor friendly policies, efficient legal framework, advanced logistics infrastructure and strategic location connecting markets across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia.
Experts shared insights into opportunities across sectors such as food and agro products, gems and jewellery, consulting, marketing, wealth management, construction and infrastructure. Entrepreneurs also participated in an interactive session that addressed investment procedures, regulations and strategies for entering international markets.
The event concluded with strong interest from participants in exploring Dubai as a gateway for global expansion, reflecting the growing ambition of Goan businesses to establish a stronger international presence.
