PANAJI: Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar today informed that the winter Goa Legislative Assembly session will be tentatively held between the 1st or 2nd week of January 2023.
“Winter Goa Legislative Assembly session will be tentatively be held between 1st or 2nd week of January 2023. The session will be week long. The exact date will be confirmed within the next 10 days,” said Tawadkar.
Speaking on Lokostav, Tawadkar said that the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will not be attending the function as Canacona due to technical problems posed by too much VVIP movement in the state.
He said that it was impossible to have two important persons, both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of India Droupadi Murmu, visit Goa simultaneously.
“As PM Modi has consented to visit Goa, President Droupadi Murmu’s visit stands cancelled,” said Tawadkar.
The Speaker informed that this year’s Lokutsav, which is Goa’s biggest cultural event scheduled to be held in Canacona, will be special.
He has said that if people are to enjoy this event, one day will not be enough.
Lokutsav will be held from 7th to 11th December in Canacona.
