Cuncolim: A woman from Cuncolim has filed a police complaint against a local resident alleging molestation, physical assault, and criminal intimidation during a municipal inspection at her residence on July 15.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 12:00 pm at Culwada, Cuncolim, during an inspection carried out by the Cuncolim Municipal Council. The accused, identified as Velencio Faustino Borges, a resident of Culwada, allegedly began recording a video on his phone during the inspection. When the complainant objected to being filmed, the accused reportedly responded with verbal abuse, used filthy language, and physically assaulted her with slaps and fist blows.
The complainant further alleged that the accused touched her inappropriately, including her breast, pushed her to the ground causing injuries, and threatened her with dire consequences — thus outraging her modesty.
Cuncolim Police have registered an offence based on the complaint, and PSI Aditya Sawant is conducting further investigation into the matter.
