BICHOLIM: A 58-year-old woman has alleged that her husband deliberately rammed his car into her while she was handing over a garbage bin to a municipal garbage collection van at Vadakade, Bordem, Bicholim, on November 5.
According to the complaint lodged at Bicholim Police Station, the incident occurred at around 11 am on the internal road at Wodamwada, Vadakade, Bordem.
The accused, identified as Minguel Savio Fernandes, a resident of Desai Wado, Uguem, Sanguem, was allegedly driving a silver-coloured Nissan Magnite car bearing registration number GA-09-E-0233 in a rash and negligent manner towards the complainant, thereby endangering her life and safety.
The complainant alleged that the accused deliberately rammed the vehicle into her, causing her to fall on the road. She sustained cut and swelling injuries to her left ankle and complained of pain in both legs.
The woman further alleged that the incident was connected to an ongoing matrimonial dispute between the couple and that her husband had deliberately attempted to cause her harm.
The complaint was lodged on November 5, 2026, at 7.24 pm.
