PANAJI: A cheating complaint has been lodged by Shabana Sayed, a resident of Sonali Apartments, A-block, Panaji, alleging that she was duped of ₹5,02,522 on the false promise of securing overseas employment for her son in Albania.
According to the complaint, between September 2025 and September 2026, the accused, identified as Shabir Abdul Nabi, employed at Euro World, Alfran Plaza Building, near Don Bosco, opposite Wellness Pharmacy, Panaji, allegedly induced the complainant to pay ₹5,02,522 by promising to arrange a job for her son as a warehouse worker in Albania.
However, contrary to the assurance given, the complainant’s son was allegedly sent to Ukraine and made to work at a poultry farm at Tulchyn. The accused allegedly cheated the complainant, causing her wrongful financial loss amounting to ₹5,02,522.
