PORVORIM: Porvorim Police have arrested a 25-year-old woman in connection with an alleged property fraud case involving ₹47 lakh.
According to the complaint filed by Santosh Valvoikar, a resident of Kaskarwaddo, Porvorim, the accused, identified as Kajal d/o Prakash Nanoskar, allegedly induced the complainant and other people by promising to provide plots and flats in Goa.
Police said the accused allegedly collected and siphoned off the hard-earned money of the complainant and others, with the total amount involved reported to be ₹47,00,000.
A case has been registered at Porvorim Police Station as Crime No. 65/2026 under Section 318(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The accused, a resident of Girkarwaddo, Harmal, Pernem, and presently residing at Cuchelim, Mapusa, has been arrested and lodged in police custody.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Vignesh Naik.
