CANACONA: Fourteen (14) of the 19 High-Schools in Canacona, the Southern-most Taluka have stood the time of testing with 100% results at the SSC examinations conducted by GBSHSE). The remaining five (5) schools have a pass percentage of above 90% with as low as just one student failing with ATKT making the difference.
Incidentally, with an over-all pass percentage of 98.66%, Canacona Taluka with 19 High Schools(13-Aided and 6- Govt High-Schools, Candidates(students)- 676 (enrolled)/663 (passed)) under GBSHSE has ranked Second only behind Pernem Taluka (26-Aided, 1-unaided, Govt-6, Candidates1036/1024) which had the over-all pass percentage of 98.84% of Pernem Taluka in the talukawsie enrolment and results.

Pranavi Vinay Tubki with 97.7%, of marks had topped, Reesha B Gaonkar with 97.2% andPooja J Gaonkar with 95.5% stood second and third, respectively at Shri Balram Residential School, Amone- Poinguinim,
Nitisha Naresh Redkar with 97.7% of marks, Yash Vasudev Pai with 96. 5% and Satwick Narayan Pagui with 95.93% has stood first, second and third, respectively at Shri Shradanand Vidyalaya, Poinguinim. Shradhanand Vidyalaya H/S had 22-Distinctions, 07 -1st Clsass, -2nd Class, and – Pass Class
Ashna Mahadev Desai (96.33%), Neha Ranganath Naik Gaonkar (92.67%) and Ridhvi Dinesh Dhuri
(92.33%), has stood first, second and third, respectively at Shri Katiyani Baneshwar Vidyalaya, Kindle-Ponsulem.
Jhanvi A Dessai, (92.5%), Kirti M Naik (91.16%) and Riiya B Varik (87.16%) ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd in St. Thereza of Jesus H/S, Chaudi which had 22-Distinctions, 30-1St Class, 15-2nd Class and 05-Pass-Class .
Prajita Faldessai (95.5%) topped St. Annes Institute, Agonda, with Farren Fernandes (84.5%) and Ridsney Fernandes (84.33%) and Velia Fernandes (84%) standing 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the school. St. Annes Institute had 14-Distinctions, 19-First Class, 16-Second Class and 04-Pass Class, and 2-ATKT.
