PORVORIM: The first semester exam for Class IX students who did not show up for the October test will begin on December 7, according to a Tuesday announcement from the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE).
Earlier this month, the Board requested information about the children who were unable to take the test because of legitimate medical reasons, sporting engagements, or other circumstances.
As a result, the Board has now determined that these students’ first semester exams will be held from December 7–14.
There will be forty multiple-choice questions and forty subjective questions on the paper. The schools are required to evaluate the answer books and demonstrate this to the students.
The Goa Board administers the semester exams, which are divided into two sessions: one in October and the second in April 2025, in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) for Grade 9 that went into effect this academic term.
The English paper will start the test, and the Sanskrit or Konkani paper will finish it.
