The COVID cases continue to surge with second consecutive century on Thursday.
As per the DHS bulletin, there were 112 new cases and 66 new recoveries taking the confirmed cases to 2151.
With 1273 recovered cases, Goa now has 869 active cases.
50 year old male, from Chicalim, became the 9th victim of COVID19 in the State after he succumbed to the dreaded virus at Goa Medical College, this morning.
Sources informed that the patient had fever for last one week and was taken to the Chicalim Cottage hospital only yesterday.
Since he had breathing difficulties, he was tested and shifted to GMC.
Sources reveal his COVID19 test was positive.
The DHS release says the man from New Vaddem had co-morbid conditions and was confirmed positive for COVID19.
Meanwhile, 26 positive cases were reported by Rassaim, Salcete.
In Panjim, the court premises at Spaces building Patto was sealed again after a lady staffer tested positive.
The premises will be opened on Monday after sanitisation.
