PANAJI: While the State government is dilly-dallying on imposing restrictions on tourists in the State, a shocking revelation has come to fore that 31 COVID-19 positive cases have been reported at an offshore casino.
The Directorate of Health Services (DHS) has written the North Goa Collector to declare the said casino vessel as an mirco-containment zone.
But again, following pressure the Collector is yet to decide on the matter.
According to sources the entire casino vessel was sanitised yesterday and again opened for customers.
Meanwhile police has deployed Staff accommodation in Madhuban building in St Inez.
The casino staff has been asked to go out only for duty.
Goa yesterday had reported 189 fresh cases.
