Vasco: Advocates Cricket League (ACL T20) 2025 witnessed two thrilling matches at SAG’s Chicalim ground in Vasco on Sunday, with Risers registering a convincing eight-wicket victory over Legal Titans and United Brothers inflicting a 30-run defeat on 18 Juners.
In the first match, Risers thumped Legal Titans by eight wickets to record their first win in the tournament. Adil’s brilliant bowling performance (4/14) and Anoop Kudtarkar’s impressive knock (67 off 46) were the highlights of the match. Opting to bowl first, Risers bundled out Legal Titans for 152 in 19.5 overs. Kalpesh Kamath (45), Pravin Gawas (30), and Kanaiya (37) were their main run-geters.
In reply, Anoop and Shantaram Naik provided a flying start, scoring 59 runs in the power play, before Naik departed for 22. Anoop and Dattaprasad Shirodkar then kept them in the hunt with sensible batting. Once Anoop departed after a well-made 67, Dattaprasad (32*) and Rohit Dessai (23*) ensured a comfortable chase, guiding Risers to 153/2 in 18 overs.
In the second match, United Brothers posted a mammoth 176/5, courtesy Dattaraj Gawas’s solid 71-run knock (37 balls, 6 fours, 4 sixes). Satyam Ghogale also played a valiant knock of 43 off 28 balls.
In reply, 18 Juners managed 146/6 in their stipulated 20 overs, with Siddhant Shetye (39), Sanjay Parab (30), and Swapnil Kambli (22) being the main contributors. Dattaraj Parab took two wickets for United Brothers, while Sanket Salgaonkar, Raghu Parab, and Coburn Franco chipped in with a wicket each.
