PANAJI: Almost three weeks after Goemkarponn carried out an explosive interview of Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand indicting Goa Police in drugs cases, the Director General of Police (Goa) has responded to the allegations.
The Goa DGP Jaspal Singh has rejected the charges levelled by the Hyderabad CP, saying he never received any calls from him.
Replying to a Twitter post from one Roland DCruz, who had posted the Goemkarponn story on Twitter saying “Scary if True”, Goa DGP said the Commissioner is indulging in Self-aggrandisement.”
“The worthy Commissioner is indulging in self-aggrandisement,” he said.
Jaspal Singh also said that he has written a detailed letter to Hyderabad CP.
“I have written him a detailed letter to prove his allegations. Not even once he called me,” Jaspal Singh tweeted.
Responding to the above post Hyderabad CP CV Anand said he had not received any letter from Goa DGP.
“Never. Not received any letter,” he said.
About the Goa DGP denying calls, he said, “He can check his missed calls and also with his personal assistant”.
He further went on to say that the DGP was making such a statement due to severe pressure.
“Poor man must be under severe pressure – I can understand,” he remarked.

He said that Goa police leaked his team’s movements to drug lords. He also alleged that his team was assaulted in Goa, and dogs were let loose on them.
