PANAJI: The State Government has directed all its efforts to expedite administrative work while stating that files/cases/proposals must be disposed of within 3 working days.
“It is directed all its departments to expedite administrative work. In a circular issued, it is mentioned that files/cases/proposals are to be disposed of within a period of 3 working days,” the circular issued by govt states.
Per circular, Files/cases/proposals/correspondence received by officers shall be disposed of within 3 working days from their receipt thereof, whereas consultations/examinations at the department level shall be provided within 7 working days for every file/case/proposal received.
It is further said that minutes of the meetings of all high-level committees shall be submitted within a maximum of 3 working days before the competent authority for necessary approval.
“Minutes of the meetings shall clearly contain details of the responsibilities assigned to each concerned officer/department. From the point of view of the economy, both sides of the pages shall be used for preparing the minutes of meetings and making all other Government correspondence,” the circular states.
