Writing is the art of soul which is bestowed upon few people. The second phase release of seven more books indicates success of the scheme formulated by Raj Bhavan in the interest of new budding writers said the Governor of Goa at a function organized at Darbar Hall Raj Bhavan Donapaula today.
This is the second phase of Nayi Pahal Scheme where in seven books – 5 in Marathi, 1 in Konkani, 1 in malyali languages were released at the hands of dignitaries.
The Governor said formulation of Nayi Pahal scheme is the permanent investment. This scheme has noble objective to financially help writers to publish their books. This scheme will help new budding writers to fulfill their desire of getting recognition as a writer in the society and in the country. He congratulated them and wished success for their journey as literary person.
His holiness Shree Swami Bhau Maharaj who was the guest of the honour in his address appreciated the initiative of Raj Bhavan for helping new budding writers so as to gain recognition in the society. He also applauded the Governor for his gesture to encourage writers and for initiating charity activities in the interest of needy people in Goa.
Special Officer to the Governor, Shri R. Mihir Vardhan IAS ( Rtd ) while explaining the Scheme said Nayi Pahal aims to encourage new budding young writers. Under the scheme Nayi Pahal books in different languages like Konkani, Marathi, Malyalam and in English all together 12 books have bern published. He said the Governor being statesman is also prolific writer who has completed 50 years in literary field.
Names of the writers whose books were released are Shri Shripad Ajit Prabhu Desai, Konkani book Manthan Dr. Apurva Betkikar Marathi poetry book Mugdha Ani Ti , Smt. Dhanashree Sandesh Prabhu Khanolkar ‘Tichya Najretil Abhal, Poetry book in Marathi, Ms Kavita Pranit Amonkar, Shri Mashu Krishna Patil poetry collection Jivan Sar in Marathi, Dr. Ajit Marathe, Shri K. Mohandas poetry book ‘ Maghalle, in Malyalam languages
Theatre Artist Shri Rajesh Pednekar; Shri Mahendra Alvares, Eminent writer
Shri Pachu Menon, Sahitya Academy Awardee Smt. Shraddha Garad and others also spoke on the ocassion.
Secretary to Governor Shri M. R. M. Rao, IAS welcomed the guests.
