PANAJI: Ashank Dalvi and Aarish Shaikh booked their places in the Boys Under 11 final, while Ronan Menezes Gama and Urvansh Pathak secured spots in the Boys Under 9 title clash at the Ulhas Jewellers BPS Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2026, being held at the Multipurpose Stadium in Fatorda.
The tournament is being organised under the aegis of the Goa Table Tennis Association and is powered by Ulhas Jewellers, bringing together some of the state’s most promising young table tennis players.
In the Boys Under 11 semi-finals, Ashank Dalvi produced a commanding performance to defeat Cladwyn Miranda in straight games with a 3-0 victory. Aarish Shaikh also advanced to the championship match after overcoming Kedar Nair 3-1 in a closely contested encounter, setting up an exciting final between the two talented paddlers.
Earlier in the quarter-finals, Ashank secured his place in the last four by defeating Arjun Rane, while Cladwyn Miranda got the better of Vardhan Verlekar. Kedar Nair advanced after beating Ved Sanvordekar, and Aarish Shaikh completed the semi-final lineup with a victory over Shiv Chopdekar.
In the Boys Under 9 category, Ronan Menezes Gama continued his impressive run with a dominant 3-0 win over Vivaan Rane in the semi-finals. Urvansh Pathak also progressed to the final after defeating Yajat Keni 3-1, ensuring a thrilling title contest in the youngest age category.
The Under 9 quarter-finals saw Vivaan Rane defeat Advith Rao, Ronan Menezes Gama overcome Mark D’Costa, Yajat Keni register a win against Anshuman Lokapure, and Urvansh Pathak defeat Evan D’Mello to complete the semi-final lineup.
With the finalists now confirmed in both age groups, the tournament is set for an exciting finish as the young paddlers compete for top honours in their respective categories.
