In the first incident, unidentified thieves allegedly broke into a locked house in the Demani area of Cuncolim by cutting through the iron window grilles. Police received a wireless message from the casualty section of GMC Bambolim at around 8.28 am on September 18, informing them that Lagve had succumbed to his injuries. According to a complaint filed by Rhea Victoria D’Souza, the incident occurred at around 4.30 pm when she was walking along the road at Pixem Dongri.
