Team Goemkarponn CUNCOLIM: A 56-year-old fisherman from Assolna was found dead in a waterlogged paddy field after he failed to return home from a fishing trip, police said. According to police, Edwin Vaz of Bainaque, Assolna had left for fishing at around 11.30 pm on June 23 but did not return home. His son, Edan Vaz, subsequently informed the police about his father’s disappearance. During a search at Bainaque, Assolna, police found Edwin’s body submerged in water in an open paddy field. The complaint was lodged by Shyam Sawant, Geologist with the Directorate of Mines and Geology, Panaji.
