Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: Three persons have been arrested by Collem police for murdering 38-year-old Jharkhand native at Collem under the influence of alcohol. Naked body of Philip Kispotta a labourer residing at Collem was found near the railway track at Collem on Oct 27. The accused are identified as 40-year-old Ramesh Doddamani from Hukkeri, Karnataka, 22-year-old Shivam Ram Bahadur from Raibarely and 56-year-old Chandrakant Bhagyavant from Satara, Maharashtra. Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: In a major relief to Tillari dam project-affected families, Bicholim MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye informed that the 200 families will be granted sanads on Thursday. “The families who were uprooted by the Tillari project and are presently receiving rehabilitation at Sal rehabilitation colony will be granted rights to land and houses.” In 1980, the Tillari dam, a joint Goa-Maharashtra project, opened for business. Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: Under the direction of Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho, the State government has formed a ten-member Task Force Committee to identify priority areas for strategic investments in infrastructure and industry. Under Secretary of Industries Vivek Naik stated in a notification that the Task Force will also have to meet with diverse stakeholders to form a consensus, share ideas, and offer comprehensive recommendations on balanced industrial and socioeconomic growth businesses’ associations.
