Goemkarponn desk Morjim:Forest Department is organising series of talks and awareness programme during Turtle Nesting festival 2021. Today a talk was organised for local community at Morjim on how to respond on dead and live marine mammals and important mitigating solutions. The talk was attended by around 30 villagers and two life guards and other departmental staff. ACF Paresh C Porob delivered a lecture on significance on marine turtle conservation and how to respond on live and dead marine mammals and important mitigating solutions. PANJIM: Goa today reported 97 new Covid-19 positive cases. While there 114 recoveries and 2 deaths reported today. As per DHS bulletin, two deaths were reported from GMC, a 72 year old patient from Ponda and a 85 year old from Canacona succumbed to the virus today. Panaji :The Arambol beach was witness to a double rescue of a couple while two were rescued at Calangute earlier today. At the Arambol sweet lake at around 16:10 hrs today, a group of 40 people were bathing. Among them were a couple, both aged 30 years, who drifted deeper into the waters. Panaji: Amidst the controversy surrounding the Cannabis plantation issue, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that the government is not going ahead on the cannabis issue.
