As per DHS bulletin, a 65 year old patient from Margao with ALD+Cirrhosis +portal hypertension +Eoso phageal varices +DM+HTN, 71 year old patient from Margao with HTN, 45 year old patient from Bicholim with DM and 67 year old patient from Shiroda with DM+CKD succumbed to the virus. Meanwhile, there are 2824 active cases, the total deaths 568, Covid deaths reported today 4, samples tested today are 1176.

Panaji: Of late the State has seen a slump in COVID19 positive cases and there to be nothing to cheer about as the State government itself admits there is slack in testing. Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Friday admitted that the testing has gone down to 1200 to 1500. “We want the testing to be high and should be anywhere between 2200 to 2500 daily,” he said. PANJIM: Crime Branch Goa has arrested one Rahul Gupta notorious and wanted human trafficking from Delhi. He was wanted in 2 prostitution cases 65/18 and 93/19 was arrested in Delhi by team of Crime Branch led by PI Laxi Amonkar. The accused had been managing a prostitution racket from Delhi and was notorious for pushing several victims into trafficking in Goa.

New Delhi: Covaxin, the coronavirus vaccine being developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has been cleared for the third phase of clinical trials. The Hyderabad-based vaccine maker had applied to the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) on October 2, seeking its permission to conduct Phase 3 trials for its COVID-19 vaccine candidate.
