New DelhI: American defence firm GE Aerospace has delivered another F404-IN20 engine to Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) for India’s Tejas light combat aircraft programme, officials confirmed on Wednesday. Mumbai: High-value ₹2,000 banknotes worth ₹5,884 crore remain in circulation, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said on Wednesday, nearly two years after announcing their withdrawal. The RBI had declared on May 19, 2023, that ₹2,000 notes would be withdrawn from circulation, though they continue to be legal tender. At the time, the total value of these notes in circulation stood at ₹3.56 lakh crore. As of September 30, 2025, approximately 98.35% of the notes have been returned. New Delhi: Air India on Wednesday inaugurated direct flights connecting Delhi with Manila, the capital of the Philippines, strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia. The new services will operate five days a week Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays using Airbus A321LR aircraft equipped with Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class seating. With this launch, Air India now serves eight destinations across seven countries in Southeast Asia, further expanding its international network. The Air India Group, which includes Air India and Air India Express, operates over 300 aircraft, providing connectivity to 55 domestic and 45 international destinations.
