SANKHALI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that satellite OPD of AYUSH & Goa Medical College Hospital will be set up at Sankhali PHC.
“satellite OPD of AYUSH & Goa Medical College Hospital will be set up at Sankhali PHC. This OPD once functional will be operational for twice a week,” said Sawant
He further said that the Goa government has recognised the need and demand for specialised care and therefore we came out with a streamlined process.
“The comprehensive approach at this centre will make sure that all the patients receive personalised attention and the best possible care,” Sawant said while addressing the occasion.
Acknowledging that at least 19,000 OPD patients and 4,300 deliveries take place at GMC every year, the Chief Minister stated that we have taken a step forward to fulfil the demand of a particular segment of our citizens i.e. infertility patients.
He also assured the nurses, who have completed post-graduate in the field, that the Goa government will review their salaries soon.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane expressed concerns over the whopping charges the people of Goa have to pay for their treatment in other states.
“This hospital will not charge any amount from the patients for IVF treatment. The money will be raised through CSR,” he added.
