PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reacting to Banastari fatal accident, Tuesday said that one who is found guilty will be behind the bars.
“Police investigation is currently going on, police are taking down all minute details; One who is guilty will be behind the bars soon,” said Sawant.
In a major accident involving six vehicles at Banastari in Ponda on Sunday night, three people were left dead while three others were left seriously injured.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that a speeding Mercedes GLS SUV rammed into the vehicles, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.
According to the police, the accused Paresh, alias Shripad A Sinai Sawardekar, (48 years) was under the influence of alcohol when the accident took place and was travelling with a woman in their Mercedes SUV when the speeding car veered into oncoming traffic around 8pm on Sunday on a bridge in Banastarim.
