PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has yet again said that taxi operators have no reason to worry as both airports will remain in operation.
“Taxi operators have no reason to worry as both airports will remain in operation,’ said Sawant.
He further said that the civil enclave at International Airport at Dabolim will continue to function along with Manohar International Airport as per the Ministry of Civil Aviation Government of India.
“Goa being a popular tourist destination, the air traffic to Goa is expected to increase significantly with new routes and destination catering traffic for both the Airports,” he added.
Sawant again said that Dabolim Airport’s civil enclave will continue to function along with Manohar International Airport.
“Dabolim Airport doesn’t operate for four hours in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. The new Manohar International Airport will fill that space connecting new cities facilitating more tourists inflow to Goa,” CM said.
The Chief Minister also said that with two Airports functioning in parallel for civilian operations, the air traffic to Goa is expected to significantly connect new destinations both within India and Abroad.
