PANAJI: BJP President Sadanand Tanavade today said that the BJP can win the 2022 elections in an individual capacity.
Tanavade also informed that BJP Central leadership is in talks for an alliance.
“BJP is capable of winning the 2022 elections on an individual level. We are not going for an alliance with a party just to split the votes. Our central leadership is in talks for an alliance. If that does not go forward, we are not worried; BJP has always set plans,” said Tanavade speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a program.
Speaking on the rumours of Ravi Naik joining the BJP, Tanavade said that he has not received any proposal from the said MLA that he wants to join our party.
“Ravi Naik should first resign as an MLA and then submit a proposal to the BJP; as of now, there is no such decision,” he added.
Reacting to Congress’s shocking sex scandal allegations against a BJP Cabinet Minister in Goa, Tanavade urged the Goa Congress president Girish Chodankar to reveal the name of the sex scandal accused.
“There is no point in aimless firing in the air. If the Goa Congress president is aware of the alleged sex scandal, then he should reveal the name of the minister in the interest of the people of Goa,” said Tanavade.
Not paying much attention to the mere allegations of Congress, Tanawade further revealed that some more Congressmen may join BJP.
