MARGAO: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today informed that the final list of candidates for the Goa Assembly Polls will be declared on January 16 after the parliamentary board meeting of BJP at New Delhi.
“I will be heading to Delhi along with other BJP leaders. The parliamentary board meeting will happen on January 16, and therefore the final list of candidates will be out,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that names are being compiled and then will be sent to Delhi for discussion and other aspects.
Sawant said that the party will review each MLA’s performance, his/her connection with people and then decide.
“The BJP parliamentary board will ultimately decide on candidates, and the state leadership will make recommendations,” he added.
“We will make recommendations based on our survey. I am not talking about surveys conducted by others,” Sawant said.
