VASCO: Congress Member of Parliament, Shashi Tharoor, made a bold prediction on Thursday
suggesting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) might face electoral challenges in the upcoming elections. Tharoor speaking to reporters at Goa Airport in Dabolim on Thursday said that it would be a challenge for the BJP to cross the 200 mark in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections
“The BJP needs to change its astrologer because we have already seen in the last couple of days, that there is a very positive trend amongst the public who are very much disenchanted by the BJP government in the centre. I am already expecting a bit of a shock from the BJP government this time, especially because 400 paar cannot be attained, 300 paar is highly impossible and 200 paar is probably a challenging situation for the BJP presently. As of now, the campaigning is going very well across the country and in the first phase of the elections, all the turnouts and voting patterns indicate that the BJP is losing ground,” said Tharoor indicating a decline in BJP’s popularity and the success of Congress’ campaign efforts nationwide.
