PONDA: The BJP-led Ponda Municipal Council led by Chairperson Ritesh Naik received a setback today.
Ritesh is the son of Ponda MLA and is also considered a setback to Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik after eight out of fifteen councillors submit a no-confidence notice against Ritesh Naik.
The development took place with just a few months left for the PMC election, as council tenure ends in the next few months.
Those who signed the notice are councillor Venkatesh Naik, William Aguilar, Pradeep Naik, Jaya Sawant, Seema Fernandes, Ameena Naik, Geetali Talavalikar and Shantaram Colvekar.
