PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that his government will present a pro-people budget with focus on Swaympurna Goa.
Sawant was speaking to the media after chairing a crucial consultation meeting with the Secretaries and Heads of Department.
“The government will present a pro-people Budget with a focus on Swayampurna Goa. We held consultation held with representatives of liquor traders, GCCI, CREDAI, small scale industries and have received suggestions,” he added.
Sawant also said that he cannot disclose more details of the Budget but it will be a pro-people budget.
The Chief Minister also directed secretaries and HoDs to prepare proposals on how the government can more funds to various Centrally sponsored schemes.
Sawant also said that day 2 of Pre-Budget Meetings witnessed deliberations with Secretaries Heads of Departments and CA & CS Associations members, prepping toward a financially optimal Budget for 2024-25.
