CALANGUTE: In response to reports of beggars causing disturbances to tourists visiting Calangute Beach and other areas within its jurisdiction, the Calangute Police Station has initiated a drive against these individuals.
Today, a targeted operation was conducted, and beggars found creating nuisance were booked under the Beggars Act.
The arrested individuals will be produced before the competent court of law, where further action will be taken against them.
This measure aims to ensure the safety and well-being of tourists visiting the area, while also maintaining law and order.
