PANAJI: Goa Velha’s rising athletics talent, Carl Mendes, delivered another outstanding performance by winning the gold medal in the Under 16 Boys Shot Put event at the 57th Goa State Athletic Championship 2026 with a throw of 10.86 metres.
Carl’s latest triumph adds to an already impressive season. Earlier this year, he claimed the gold medal in the Shot Put event at the District Athletic Meet held at Peddem, underlining his consistency and rapid progress in the sport.
