PONDA: Dipashree Sawant, the mastermind behind the cash-for-jobs scam, was re-arrested by Ponda Police in yet another case of deception, this time for defrauding a resident of Sanvordem.
After Sadanand Virnodkar from Sanvordem filed a complaint, Dipashree was taken into custody, according to Ponda Police. Sadanand said that IRB constable Sagar Naik had defrauded him by taking Rs 10 lakh from him on false pretenses of offering him a JE position in PWD.
Sagar told the police after his detention that he gave Dipashree Sawant the money, and that Ponda Police had arrested the queen-pin again after she became involved in this case.
As you may remember, Trupti Prabhu from Usgao filed a complaint alleging that Sagar and Deepashree had defrauded her out of Rs 15 lakh under the guise of offering her a teaching position, which led to their detention.
WRD Engineer Sandeep Parab filed a complaint alleging that Deepashree collected Rs 3.88 crore from 44 job applicants and gave the money to the queen-pin, which led to Deepashree’s arrest by the Mardol Police.
