PANAJI: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar will visit Goa on September 2 and 3 to review preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections.
During his two-day visit, the CEC will guide election officials on electoral rolls, voting procedures and handling queries related to the electoral process. He will also hold key meetings with poll officials covering all 40 Assembly constituencies.
The Election Commission of India has scheduled a Regional Conference on “ELC and ECINET” in Goa as part of the visit. Around 500 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are expected to participate in the programme on September 2.
On September 3, the conference will cover all 40 Assembly constituencies and is expected to involve around 1,000 participants, including representatives from educational institutions.
The meetings are aimed at strengthening coordination among election officials and ensuring preparedness for the forthcoming electoral exercise.
